Unending - Week 3

What if going to church isn't the same thing as following Jesus?

What happens when we become comfortable sitting in the pew but never step into the work Jesus has called us to do?

In Week 3 of Unending Faith, we look at Matthew 4:19, Matthew 9:35-38, and Matthew 28:19 and discover three stages of following Jesus: Follow Jesus. Serve Jesus. Multiply Jesus.

Jesus didn't simply call His followers to attend. He called them to follow Him, to become workers in the harvest, and ultimately to help others follow Him too.

But what does that actually look like in everyday life?

Are we willing to serve when it's inconvenient?

Are we willing to put people before our preferences?

Are we willing to step out of the boat and get to work?

Because if we're serious about passing faith on to the next generation, it can't stop with us simply knowing about Jesus. Faith passed on starts when we get out of the boat and answer the call to do the work of the Kingdom.

So maybe the question isn't, “Does my church need me?”

Maybe the better question is:

“Does Jesus' harvest need me?”
