Seat To Street

Are we just learning… or are we actually living it?

This week we kick off Seat to Street with a question that might make you shift in your chair:

Have we gotten comfortable in the seat… when Jesus called us to the street?

In Week 1, we explore the moment when learning turns into living. Just like tying a climbing knot only matters when you actually test it, faith only grows when it’s applied. So what does it look like to move from knowledge to action? From church attendance to kingdom impact?

We look at the story of the healed leper in Gospel of Mark 1:40–45 — an ordinary man who experienced healing and couldn’t stay silent about it. He didn’t have theology degrees. He didn’t have years of study. He simply knew what Jesus had done for him… and he said it. He showed it.

So what about us?

If Jesus has changed your life…

Would anyone know?

If the Gospel really rescues people…

Why would we keep that to ourselves?

This message challenges us with two simple but powerful truths:

What we say — Tell your story.

What we show — Live like it changed something.

We also lean into Jesus’ call in Gospel of Matthew 28:19 — not just to gather, but to go. Not just to sit, but to move. Not just to consume, but to commission.

Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or you’re just beginning to explore faith, this message will meet you where you are — and maybe nudge you toward what’s next.

So here’s the real question:

Are you ready to test the knot?

Are you ready to move from seat to street?
