Restored - Week 2

Restoration sounds exciting... until it requires us to change.

This week in Restored, we continue through Paul's letter to Philemon and discover that restoring God's purpose in our lives often means making uncomfortable changes. When Onesimus—a runaway servant who had wronged Philemon—comes to faith in Christ, Paul asks something almost unthinkable: Welcome him back, not as a servant, but as a brother.

Could you forgive someone who hurt you? Could you release the debt you've been holding against them? Could you see them through the same grace that Christ has shown you?

Following Jesus doesn't just restore our purpose—it restores our relationships. But restoration always costs something. It requires us to let go of bitterness, release people from the bondage of their past, and remember that every one of us has been welcomed home by the grace of Jesus.
